Proclamations are provided by the Governor’s Office as a service to Mississippi residents with the goal of honoring and celebrating events having some statewide significance or increasing awareness of noteworthy issues among citizens across Mississippi. These public service documents are strictly honorary and are not legally binding. Proclamations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The Governor’s Office reserves the right to decline any request for a proclamation as well as the right to make exceptions to the Guidelines for Proclamations. To request a Proclamation, which much must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the proclamation date, contact Debbie Carney at Debbie.firstname.lastname@example.org or (601) 576-2028.
