Jackson, Miss. – Gov. Phil Bryant has ordered Mississippi and American flags flying in front of state buildings and on state grounds lowered to half-staff from Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, until sunset on Monday, Sept. 12.
Gov. Bryant also encourages Mississippians to observe a moment of silence on Sept. 11, beginning at 8:46 Eastern Daylight Time, to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
The attached executive order proclaims Sept. 11 as Patriot Day and a Day of Service and Remembrance.
